Mrs Singapore World 2015/16 Grand Finals
December 21, 2015And I am finally back with a new post. For the past week, I was so excited for the grand finals of Mrs Singapore World 2015/16, and I must say it was one of the best pageant that I have ever attend. Everything started off great and it ended with a newly crowned Mrs Singapore World.
Let me take you to that amazing night @ RWS Ballroom again!
Along with Victoria, the other guest blogger for Mrs Singapore World, we reached around 5pm to take more photos and to pose with the photo wall!
Then, I received my media pass from Florence! And also the invitation card!
When I knew that Mr Baey Yam Keng was the Guest-Of-Honour of the night, I was pretty excited about it! As the photo of the family who hung the board saying "My baby and family wants to meet you Mr Baey" showed that Mr Baey is a well known minister around his area. And I definitely felt very honour to have met him in the grand finals.
We were seated very near the stage! Thank you ERM World for arranging our seats to be so near the stage to allow us to snap great pictures!
We all then proceeded into the ballroom once it was opened. Some selfies along the way!
Judges table
Special thanks to HBI International (presenting sponsor), Vintage Studio, KIRA, Centre for Cosmetic Rejuvenation & Surgery, Parkway Dental Practice, Ardmore Wellness, Reebonz, The Makeover Inc, Ricci No, Beautiful Love Wedding, Mister Flower, The Wine Stable, eClarity, The School Of Make Up, Summer's Eve, Caotina, Shu Uemura, Yakult,Noël Caleb, Singapore Fashion Runway and the two venues for the photo shoot and talent competition, White Sands and Balaclava!
Also Jwalking Studio which is the official photographer of the event.
After the Guest Of Honour Mr Baey Yam Keng arrived, the show officially started with an Opening Fashion Showcase brought to us by HBI International Pte Ltd with the finalists dressed in Ikewenna's alluring Body Shaper. It is definitely something different as most of the pageants I watch they tend to have a bikini segment instead. But nevertheless all the finalists looked absolutely prepossessing!
The finalists were then asked to introduce themselves to the guests.
Posing for a final shot after the end of the showcase and introduction!
Then we had an Opening Speech from 3 beautiful ladies.
The first speech was by Ms Avril Chua, the organizing chairperson of Mrs Singapore World 2015/16
Then, Ms Alicia Lu, the Vice Chairman of HBI International Pte Ltd.
And finally, Ms Angela Tay, the Managing Director of ERM Singapore Marketing.
Before the speech, a list of Subsidiary Awards were also given out!
Here are the winners!

Then, RWS Ballroom began to serve dinner. To be honest I wasn't expecting a lot because I had a very bad banquet experience in another event. But RWS got me to be even happier by serving flavorsome food and the bloggers and I had a good time dining!
The Menu!
Appetizer was served first and the Smoked Chicken Breast and Top Shell tasted the best!
While enjoying our first dish, another showcase was next! The ladies sure had a tiring yet enjoyable night as they proceed to change their outfits and also hair + make up at a short amount of time.
And, The Casual Fashion Showcase brought to us by Noël Caleb (Apparels), Riccino (Shoes) and Reebonz (bags)!
And a final shot!
All of them look gorgeous in their casual outfits! Can you believe they are aged between 28-51? Absolutely mind blowing!

(note; this picture is only a portion of the sponsors & partners)
Third dish was served! One of my favorite dishes among the 8 dishes served! I had more than 5 pieces of the well marinated and tender chicken fillet! Guilty as charged but it was worth it.
We were then treated to a special Preview Showcase of For/get brought to us by HBI International Group Pte Ltd.
The finalists looking very angelic dressed in their white gowns holding For/get 's products!
And a final shot!
All the finalists looking like swans too! Very graceful!
Forth dish was then served!
The fish tasted extremely fresh and complimented with the tangy sauce very well!
The Talent Segment was up next! It was held on the 29th of November at White Sands and among the 18 of them, 4 were shortlisted as the finalists!
First up, we have #2 Karine Estelle Cheong singing 月亮代表我的心!
Her very supportive friends and family!
Beautiful voice indeed!
Next, #4 Jean Chen Shu with her very eccentric dance steps in Jazz!
Then, we had #9 Antika Misra with her abstracting and expressive dance steps in Traditional Indian Dance!
Last but not least, #11 Meena Bennett and her lively and rhythmical dance steps in Samba!
After a round of performance, the fifth dish was served!
Yay to free flow of orange fanta too!
Fresh and crunchy broccoli topped with shitakes! I couldn't ask for more as this is my favourite dish of all time!
Next, it was my favourite segment! It was an Evening Wear Showcase brought to us by Beautiful Love Wedding (gowns), Riccino (shoes) and eClarity (jewelry)! And this time, the finalists are accompanied by their husbands! This is such a sweet moment and definitely a couple goal.

Then, before the Q&A the sixth dish was served!
Very delicious fried rice!
For Q&A, The ladies had to tell the judges what are their platforms (for charity) and answer a question that they picked.
Judges listening attentively
I had a deep impression on Elizabeth's speech as she mentioned that her platform would be the Children of prisoners. I agree too as the children are innocent and they should receive help and education as well.
While the judges are collating the results, we were treated to a performance by the Cabaret Dancers.
Photos taken by Jwalking Studio! We were seated in the same table and the founder was an extremely hardworking photographer along with his team, they didn't managed to grab more than 5 bites I guess! Most of the time they were away taking stunning photos and only came back to the table for a short break when the forth dish was served.
The last dish which was dessert arrived too
Delightful taste! Great dessert I must say!
Took a selfie in the midst of the performance too!
I bought the hat two years ago thinking that I'll wear for prom but I guess it suits the Great Gatsby Theme more!

All in all, I definitely feel very blessed to be invited by ERM World for this event. That I got to witness many moments and to hear the different stories from all the 18 finalists. I am sure that all the finalists forged memories during this journey to transform themselves!
I definitely want to be a guest blogger again in the upcoming pageants and I hope that as a reader you all will get to know more about pageants too ever since the press conference!
I definitely encourage every single married woman to join Mrs Singapore World! As it is a competition that teaches you to rediscover yourself and being exposed to different aspects of life as a married woman.
Remember, your journey doesn't end here! All the best to the 18 finalists and congratulations to all the winners!
Thank you ERM World once again!
